So I’m usually late to all of the really hot trends. This is no different. Once I discovered the interconnectedness of the Marvel Cinematic Universe my OCD brain exploded and I immediately wanted to start meticulously watching them in chronological order. Also, I’ve heard Netflix will lose rights to the films within the year and we won’t access on that platform soon, so I best get moving.
Since I’m already obsessively engaged, I might as well go whole hog and record all of the drinking and drinks in the movies and TV episodes…in order. It’s gotta be done sooo….
Something I really like about this show is the inclusion of Howard Stark, Tony Stark’s grandfather. That kind of legacy to the story is really cool. Sherry: In the car ride back to Howard Stark’s, Howard is looking to diffuse tension of the circumstances. He does this by suggesting that they will have the leisure […]
I think you’ve had a few too many martinis to fly a plane This is from a flashback of how Howard Stark was infiltrated by the Russian spy-assassin Dottie Underwood. He invites her to fly with him. She rejects the offer based on his intoxication. So this scene shows us how Stark was compromised, but […]
I love it when a story doesn’t shy away from escalating the costs of a dangerous lifestyle. The plot is moving right along, not plodding…so much so there isn’t much time for boozing. After removing the primary assassin from play, the SSR goes and checks out his room. I’m actually quite surprised to see a […]
In the second episode we get to see just how bad the bad guys are. We get to know the killer henchman a little more; cruel, efficient, unrelenting, but we also learn there is a larger entity he reports to…in a typewriter. Glass of Port: One of the hits is a shady dealer (presumably weapons) […]
When I learned about this show, I immediately thought it was a fantastic idea and I have to admit it doesn’t disappoint. A non-superhero in a world of superheroes and super-villains being effective and kicking ass. I have to admit I have a real soft spot for those kinds of characters. Anyway, we pick up […]
I didn’t think I was going to like Captain America. I expected it to lack nuance and the characters to be flat because it was one of the first produced for the MCU and I wasn’t yet aware that Marvel had a new vision for the stories. It surprised me. It had heart and I […]
