If you're into thinkin' and drinkin'

Rookie Scotch Drinkers

So, a couple of weeks ago I spent the night drinking scotch. Now I drink pretty rarely these days, but when I do I have a tendency to drink to get drunk. On this occasion I took my time and really just enjoyed what I was drinking.

This wasn’t the first time that I drank scotch, and in all honesty I wasn’t even drinking what scotch connoisseurs would consider a good scotch (Dewar’s), but for the first time I felt like I got it…Well I may not have gotten it, but it definitely sparked my interest about scotch for the first time.

In the weeks that passed I took the initiative and did some research to find out what would be considered a good scotch and most importantly how to drink it. I know this may sound silly to people who don’t drink scotch, but there is a right and a wrong way to drink scotch. As a man who likes his drinks cold I opted to drink my scotch on the rocks, which, as it turns out, is kind of a no no unless you’re using whiskey stones.

I’m not going to make any suggestions/recommendations about drinking scotch or act like I know all the do’s and don’ts, because I’d just be recycling what I’ve read. Instead, if you’re a rookie scotch drinker like myself, check out the links below. Enjoy and happy drinking!
