I cheated and used a non sweet Parma violet gin ( full gin strength) and omitted the sugar element altogether – then I tried it with a Parma violet gin liqueur / London dry gin and lemon juice. Both made for interesting drinks. Preferred the first.

@BlakLivrProject, my Aviation turned out the right shade. This is Hugo Ensslin's original recipe, 2oz gin, one oz lemon juice, two dashes Maraschino and Creme de Violette. The Pages Parfait Amour is really a CDV, it has no citrus peel, just violets. pic.twitter.com/fy6MBdkhlW
