Not a classic cocktail, this one is an original from Bobby at Fion that appears on the menu and can be ordered by any ole person off the street. Ingredients:
- Rye
- Absinthe
- Aveze
- Coffee Bitters
Has a largely nutty and roasty flavor imparted by the coffee bitters. Aveze is a strong and divisive flavor, some people like it some people do not at all, but I think everyone should try it, because it is likely a taste you’ve never had anything like before. It’s a bold choice for a cocktail; I found the taste exciting, other’s were less enthusiastic, we were all glad to try something new.
Unfortunately, I was so excited by it, I forgot to snap pics. Bummer.
