It pleases me to present the next Monster Summoning episode wherein we feature new cocktails born from the minds of liquid genius. The Brixton is where we record our Monster in a Glass series, wherein we discuss and taste classic cocktails both popular and forgotten, and Michael Donnelly, the bartender we work with, always knows exactly what needs to be done to make these drinks right. But this time, we’re featuring an original Monster from the Brixton…one of their signature cocktails following a general theme of 70s era music. I’m hopeless when it comes to pop culture, so I had Kevin and Rachel explain to me what the Thin White Duke is named after, one of David Bowie’s personas. Other than that, a really delicious cocktail on the menu at the Brixton.
The Thin White Duke is:
- Martin Miller’s gin
- Luxardo
- Regans orange or peach bitters (depending on the season)
- Angostura bitters
- Orange juice
- Lemon juice
- Gosling’s Ginger Beer
