Off the Shelf: Beers of November

November was a great month for the beer tastings.  We saw some of the usuals; Solemn Oath, Une Annee and, of course, Pipeworks and a return of Spiteful Brewing. We also wrapped up sampling the beers we brought back with us from Tennessee as well as one from Surly and one from Ale Asylum.  Of special note, just because of their seasonality, were Pipeworks Dragons of Thanksgiving, really flavorful brews with a hint of the Holidays.  Also of note, the Walrus & the Carpenter, not what I expected from a beer made with oysters.  Once again, we see how taste runs the gamut between Kathleen and I and as Kenan Thompson says, “Everybody’s Getting Something.”
