So I’m usually late to all of the really hot trends. This is no different. Once I discovered the interconnectedness of the Marvel Cinematic Universe my OCD brain exploded and I immediately wanted to start meticulously watching them in chronological order. Also, I’ve heard Netflix will lose rights to the films within the year and we won’t access on that platform soon, so I best get moving.
Since I’m already obsessively engaged, I might as well go whole hog and record all of the drinking and drinks in the movies and TV episodes…in order. It’s gotta be done sooo….
First of all, I had no idea these existed. Here’s the link for all of you who also had no idea these existed. It’s these little pieces of media making the MCU another slice of life in a universe we can identify with that make it so great. There is no tongue in cheek, there […]
I have to admit that I’ve seen Iron Man previously. When I realized a few years and a few movies later that this Marvel thing was all integrated I stopped and decided I had to do this right, by which I mean chronologically, obsessively and compulsively. So I knew that there was going to be […]
In my chronology for the Marvel Cinematic Universe this Agent Carter one shot film short was listed as coming after the TV show. It doesn’t make sense that way…but it was supposed to stand on its own originally… at the end of the short Howard Stark makes Peggy the head of SHIELD so we see […]
I thought Season 1 of Agent Carter was really drinky, but Season 2 was over the top. The combination of more scenes with Howard Stark (and he’s always drinking — yet rarely drunk), so many bar scenes — the Dunbar Hotel which was swimming in drinks, Chadwick’s fundraising event where everyone had a drink in […]
The season wraps up and apparently so does the show with a ton of unresolved leads. I enjoyed the show and was looking forward to seeing more Marvel Easter Eggs. The team is considering ways to beat Whitney Frost, now Madame Masque, to opening another rift. Howard offers this: “How do the most successful scientists […]
We’re at the end of the season and the action is ramping up. The betrayals and double crosses are flying and nobody is taking the time to have a few drinks. Not even Manfredi is seen with a drink in this episode Also, the dance number at the beginning of the episode was a bit […]
This episode is mayhem. We are in hospital rooms with Jarvis hovering over Anna (she was shot in the last episode), people are betraying their friends, zero matter is communing with its disciples…all over the place. One subplot I think is a nice touch is Jarvis’ vendetta against Whitney Frost for nearly killing his beloved […]
So we see how this is going. Whitney Frost is attempting to become a crime boss with unmotivated specialists and two bit thugs as her C-suite team. Vernon Masters hates his new job; he only relishes his power over other people in the role, but reporting to a woman clearly rankles him. I love the […]
Whityney Frost makes her powerplay. Calvin Chadwick won’t be a consideration…nor will half of the Council of Nine. In Peggy’s room she has a decanter of brown spirits. Again, I have to ask if this is normal, normal for her, or something she’s doing now because she had a piece of ribar thrust through her […]
Here we finally see Peggy-Daniel-Violet love triangle sub-plot move along a little bit more wherein Violet recognizes how much Daniel really cares for Peggy. One thing I really liked about the development of this conflict is that nobody is a bad guy here. I feel like often somebody is considered a relationship wrecker or a […]
